Intersections, in collaboration with the Graduate Geography and Planning Students’ Society (GGAPSS) and the Initiative on Graduate Income Equity at UofT is hosting an event to mark the release of the report Quality of Quantity: Uneveness and Inequity in Time-to-Completion and Graduate Student Income at the University of Toronto.
A presentation by the author, Travis Bost, will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A period. The panelists are Robert Fajber (Department of Physics), Jaby Mathew (Department of Political Science), Caitlin Henry (Department of Geography and Planning) and Katie Mazer (Department of Geography and Planning).
The report scrapes quantitative data from university sources to produce the first comprehensive picture of graduate funding at the University of Toronto. It draws a comparative picture of the uneven condition of PhD programs across the University in three areas: Time-to-Completion; Funding Composition; the relationship between University Employment and Time-to-Completion.
The report can be accessed at https://qualityofquantityuoft.wordpress.com.
